Olav Thon (born 29 June 1923 in Ål, Hallingdal) is a Norwegian real estate developer and listed by Forbes List of Billionaires as the 368th richest person in the world in 2008. Norwegian real estate magnate bought his first building in 1951 and opened his first restaurant in 1966. Now his Olav Thon Gruppen, the country's largest private real estate company, owns 425 properties in Norway and 25 abroad.
